"Many thanks for your kindness and time"

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

Anything else?

I just want to leave a quick note about the Outpatients Department... I visited yesterday with my parents. We were looked after by a wonderful nurse. She was very understanding, kind and funny :). Thank you for sorting out my Mums appointment and advising us. My Dad is a very hard man to please.... He says the nurse "was like a breath of fresh air". Thanks again

Over the last six months, we've been running training for our staff - at every level within the organisation - that helps them to see things from a patient's perspective, if you like to be become even more focussed than ever on the needs of those who use our services. We've got a great deal more to do and maybe your nurse was just one of those exceptional people who always get these things right. But equally this could be an early sign that this training is reaping rewards, helping our staff to support their patients in ways that enhance their experience of the care they receive in our hospitals. We're very aware that more still needs to be done, but we're so pleased to read your feedback - which we will make sure reaches the outpatients team at the QEII.
