Anything else?
My daughter had the misfortune of being hit on the head whilst at work. the very supportive paramedics who attended to her prior to arriving at the Whttington were very efficient, however, being asked to wait outside having sustained such a head injury was slightly disheartening. this gave an indication that as from previous visits, I was in for a long wait!! and so it was, originally the up to 4hours went on to 7 and a half hours, in this time we were communicated with on just one occasion, to be told 4 hours was now 5! not in our case 7 and a half. the waiting room was noisy and abusive, drunks everywhere , the unfortunate receptionist looked and sounded as though she should have been at home, not enthusiasm at all about her job. the nursing staff also seemed disgruntled, I suppose who could blame them, the paramedics who brought us in were taken back to see us many hours later. the a/e had dealt with many casualties, many would be praising them for this, as yes I do, however it does not take away from the fact that this lack of communication was down right ignorant. would appreciate a response.
"disaster in the a/e"
