About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

Anything else?

I was admitted to Day Surgery unit 1100am July 15th to have a Bowel Resection, was seen very quickly by a nurse asked a few questions, treated brilliantly with a lot of dignity and respect. Then i was seen by a Stoma Nurse just in case i needed one after the op. When i went down to Theatre, i was treated really well and put at ease by all the staff involved, thanks i needed it. After op i was taking to Ward C18 and the treatment for pain was second to none. The Staff on the Ward worked really well together and nothing was to much trouble, right down from the Ward Clerk right up to my Surgeon who visited me after a couple of days to reassure me that everything went well. I have had to have a temporary stoma and the stoma team have been brilliant. Once again thanks to everybody who took care of me from the first minute i walked in to the last minute i walked out.
