About: Royal Free Hospital

Anything else?

I travel from Cornwall to the Royal Free and due to train delays I arrived 40minutes late for my appointment. Booking in at the imaging desk the lady I spoke to was very helpful. I explained the situation and she went to the ultrasound department to see if they could fit me in. She then came back and told me they would try, and a decision would be made by 4pm. At 3.40pm I was called into the ultrasound department. The lady who did the scan was so kind, caring, professional and very thorough. I then had an hepato biliary clinic appointment which I was also late for. While I was being scanned my husband went and explained what had happened and they waited for me to have the scan and then the doctor saw me in clinic. The scans were there immediately for the doctor to see and the lovely lady who did the ultrasound had even done the report. From the time I walked into the hospital everyone I had contact with were kind, caring and very helpful. Well worth the 500mile round trip! What a fantastic service, a credit to the NHS.
