Anything else?
I hade to visit Whittington A&E last night, 22/07 at approx 7pm (recently moved to the area and not yet registered with a local GP). The receptionist was polite and helpful. Triage nurse welcoming, listened and took down details as I explained them. Doctor (GP) on duty was excellent, her "bedside manner" was faultless. She listened, was thorough in her examination, clear in explaining her diagnosis and directing me on what to do after I left (follow up care). I left feeling very satisfied and reassured and knowing what to do if symptoms persist, she even showed me where to look on line to register with a local GP. Many NHS staff particularly in A&E's like this that see over 200 patients a day often work under extreme pressure and I'm sure at times with inadequate resources to hand. They should be credited with the job they do. Yes I pay plenty of NI and tax, but when I experience care like this (and have done so before) I feel lucky that I have access to the NHS service at anytime in any place. Thank you.
"Very good service in A&E"
