Anything else?

I would just like to say thank you very very much for the amazing experience I had whilst having my daughter at Queens a couple of weeks ago! I was a little concerned about the rumours and not knowing the area had no experience of Queens prior to this. We started in the birthing unit which was amazing and had everything you could ever want. We had 2 midwives with us and 3 at one point. Things weren't progressing very fast when it came to pushing but the midwives were in no hurry and were lovely and supportive throughout! When it came obvious that her head was in a funny position and I was exhaustive we were transferred to the labour ward for a forceps delivery. The midwives came down with us and explained everything, wished us luck and after a thorough handover left us with 3 amazing midwives and 2 consultants who were there in minutes to asses the situation. After the birth I needed to have stitches in theatre and again the people who helped us were amazing, so freindly and approachable and explained everything to us to put us at ease. The lady who delivered our daughter even came into theatre to say goodbye when her shift finished and then came and found us on the ward the next day to see how we were. I know of a few people who have had babies at Queens recently and they have received the same level of care and help from the midwives on the labour ward/ birth centre and the post natal wards after. Please pass on our thanks to the amazing staff in the birthing centre/ labour ward and Coral ward! They have helped to give us some brilliant memories and looked after us better than we ever could have expected! We spent a few days on the ward after and was offered so much help and support by such friendly midwives! Everything about the hospital was brilliant and we are very grateful for everything! Many thanks Gemma, Lee and baby Olivia (baby Gosney)

Thank you so much for leaving your comment and congratulations on the birth of Olivia. I am delighted that you were so happy with the care you received during and after your labour. It must have been quite frightening at times, and I am pleased that you felt supported and informed at all times. Your feedback is much appreciated, and I will pass it on to our team. Yours sincerely, Flo Panel-Coates Director of Nursing
