"Made to feel like a bad parent by doctor in A&E"

My 7 year old Autistic daughter had an accident whilst playing on some steps at the side of our house and cut her lip last night and first aid was given and things looked ok..this morning her face was swollen and the first thing we did was phone up the emergency dentist for an appointment to which we were told we would have to wait 24 hours..when I asked should I go to A&E I was told "No need".. well not happy with this we took her to the doctors surgery who told us she needs A&E..ok..contradicting advice so A&E it was just to be grilled why we hadn't come here before and that she needs a dentist..well what difference would have going to A&E earlier made? the first thing we did when we noticed swelling was phone up a dentist! and besides...if we had gone earlier even though things appeared ok last night-what would it have achieved?..my daughter was offered no treatment at all by kettering general so what was this doctor trying to say..with all this hype about people going to A&E when they don't need treatment and we try and go through all the channels first..what do we get? made to feel like scum IMO...won't be going back here!
