The man on the other end of the phone seemed ok, I told him I was cancelling my grand daughter appointment as she was born with Downs and had health problems and its not wise to take her in this heat for just a check up about her glasses.The government had put out a warning about the heat in mid July so we were not going to take any risk with her she is 12 years old. At the end of the conversation he said to me just before he put the phone down ''we are all in the same boat with this heat''.
