"appointments......."

i was referred by g.p. in jan this year to gastroenterologist. After initial consultation they said i needed further invasive tests to be done which were not pleasant.These were done by end of April..I was told i would receive a follow up appointmrnt....nothing happened and i had to chase them up.... I appeared to have disappeared off the system. Eventually thanks to a lady in the gastroenterology dept who chased it up i received an appointment for the end of june. This appointment was cancelled by the hospital just before lunch time on the day of appointment and was told another appointment would be sent out. Today i had to chase the appointment up again only to be told the next available one was for the beginning of Nov..This is a disgrace..Only advice i was given was to go back to g.p. and get them to wtite to consultant to move it on quicker...Meanwhile i have to put up with significant discomfort and pain at times from the gallstones that were diagnosed. By the time anything is done to sort them out it could be a year on...I have not even had a chance to discuss the next steps with consultant yet.. I am very disappointed...The NHS is falling apart.
