"Cardio thoracic critical care, surgery admissions"

About: University Hospital (Coventry)

Anything else?

Over the past 6 months my family have spent at least half this time visiting my mother and step father while they stay in Walsgrave. This was firstly due to my mum having a perforated bowel which during her admission was dealt with very efficiently and moved quickly to surgery admissions, she received outstanding care from both surgery admissions and gastrointestinal ward! Without there care she would not have made it and recovered quick enough for her heart op a few weeks later. Same again se received the most outstanding level of care from cariothoracic critical care, and cardiac care. All the staff not to mention her surgeon saved her life, as her heart only had days left before it would have failed. Unfortunately more bad luck came on Saturday when my step father suffered a major cardiac arrest. The paramedic team were incredible, staying very calm but allowing everyone to know how serious it was and how busy it would get once he got to hospital. Without the cath lab at Walsgrave he would have died. I cannot thank the staff at Walsgrave who cared for them enough! Not only for saving my parent' lives but their support to the rest of them family and exceeding the expectation of their incredible busy jobs!
