I got referred by my doctor to the hospital as I broke my foot and it still wasn't healing right three months later, and my doctor thought I might need an operation.
When I went to see the specialist they were very rude and basically said because I smoke they wouldn't operate on me. I felt discriminated against. I felt the way they spoke to me was unfair. I would never recommend anyone to go and see them.
They made out my doctor didn't know what he was doing. Personally I think they need to work on their people skills. I came away from my appointment very upset and mad at the way I was treated, and I am not going back to see them. I have asked to be referred to another doctor.
