I was a bit sceptical at first, because I had not long been told that I had diabetes, so I didn't know much about it.

The DESMOND course was a very good course, gave me a lot of information. they explained what it meant to have diabetes, before doing this course I thought that you couldn't eat cakes or sweets, now I know that you can.

So long as you don't eat to much of them. I now eat a more healthy diet. Would recommend it to anyone.

Thanks for posting on patient opinion.

Like you, many of our patients are sceptical about the DESMOND course and what it can do to improve their diabetes. I am pleased to learn that you attended even though you were sceptical and that you found it helpful and informative

DESMOND helps supply you with the correct, up to date information and we hope that this information assists you in making the right choices instead of restricting yourself with your diet, therefore helping to self-Manage your own diabetes. From your feedback I can see that this has eased the worries you had about cakes and sweets and that as a newly diagnosed diabetic, you learnt more about what diabetes is.

I am sure that other patients who feel unsure about DESMOND will find this feedback helpful.

Please continue to recommend DESMOND to others and the benefits you have gained from attending.
