"A poorly run hospital"

About: Royal Orthopaedic Hospital

Anything else?

A poorly run place with regards to clinical admin waiting times appalling when you are in pain I was assessed by one senior surgeon in February and first seen at the end of June but then just passed on I have checked today it took 1 hour to speak to another new secretary & I'm still sitting here waiting for some feed back are they ever on time for appointments - no follow ups hit and miss sectaries change with the wind - never have an answer and if you ask to speak to your surgeon god forbid the reply is they don't do that The present CEO can't be contacted - you will have to write in Thank heavens for the PALS but they are fighting a losing battle by the way its not ROH's policy to reply to these reviews

Thank you for taking the time to explain your experiences at the Hospital. I am sorry to learn of the difficulties you have encountered and that we have not been able to provide our services in line with your or our expectations.

We do recognise that as an organisation there are some shortcomings in our administrative and support services and have recently launched a programme of work to improve this experience for our patients. We are striving to ensure that all of our services provided match the expertise of our clinical teams.

Unfortunately, our Chief Executive recently retired due to ill health however I would like to reassure you that we have an Acting Chief Executive who knows and understands the Hospital itself and the local and regional health services very well.

Thank you for your kind words regarding the PALS team; if we can be of any other assistance or support to you please do not hesitate to let us know on either 0121 685 4128 or via email at roh-tr.pals@nhs.net.
