"The cleaniness of the hospital ..."

About: The Princess Royal Hospital (Telford)

(as a relative),

What I liked

The cleaniness of the hospital was digusting and the nurses never bothered to come and check on my mum she was not tagged until 2 1/2 hours after being put in her room also no water jug for two hours, and also there was no communication from the nurses to know what was happening with tests and why they were doing the tests

What could be improved

The cleaner could clean the rooms propally instead of just wiping round the sinde of the room by the door then going back out, also the nurses could be more caring and look after the patients instead of chatting in the nurses bay and also make sure that they keep in communication with the patient with what is happening.

Thank you for providing comments about our services. We aim to provide high quality services for all of our patients and we are always disappointed if your experience does not match up to the high standards that we set.

This is particularly the case when it comes to standards of cleaning as we know that our patients want clean hospitals. Our hospitals receive positive ratings in independent reviews of our cleaning (e.g. the PEAT inspections by the NPSA - see http://www.npsa.nhs.uk/peat/) so we are concerned that you did not find this to be the case.

You have also commented on the standard of care received by your mother and we would be keen to receive more detailed feedback about your experience so that we can look into the issues that you have raised and provide you with a full response. However, in order to protect your privacy, the NHS Choices website does not share your contact information with us. So, if you would like to contact us to discuss the issues you have raised on this website, please write to:
