"Good and bad experiences over the years"

About: Ealing Hospital

Anything else?

When I attended the ucu in 2011 with severe stomach pain, I was seen quickly and sent home with meds, but pain didn't get any better so I returned within a day or so and was seen again, many tests were done and I was kept in hospital for about four days, having a ct scan too, they couldn't find anything wrong. But I cannot fault them they were thorough and efficient. But in the past I have had a few bad experiences, one regarding people with learning disabilities when I have supported them on the ward, one day a nurse threw the clean sheets on the bed so I had to make it, leaving a commode in the bay whilst people are eating breakfast it was very smelly, and not knowing how to treat these people with respect. Another occasion a nurse asked me to do the blood pressure.!..im not a qualified nurse only a carer. And a few years ago I had surgery to remove my gall bladder, I woke with tube down my nose a drain in my side and a drip in my arm, and I kept needing the toilet and struggled to get there, another patient asked for a commode for me which was fine but then another nurse came and removed it, horrible experience I was very distressed and couldn't wait to leave.
