I am so glad I decided to give birth in GWH as I was looked after so well after a nasty third degree tear! This was my first pregnancy/birth, and I was in shock and felt completely ruined afterwards. It took me days to stop shaking! The midwives and doctors were so kind, patient and understanding, and a potentially awful experience was made a lot easier for me! I was able to hire a private room and have either mum or husband stay with me all of the 4 nights i was there. I saw so many people who wanted to help me with breastfeeding, and cannot fault anything about my stay. I cannot thank the midwives enough for their kindness, and constant supply of ice packs!! What an amazing place to have a baby!
