About: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (King's Lynn)

(as the patient),

What I liked

Had a Hernia repair June 2008

I would point out that this procedure is carried out in the separate building to the main hospital - in the Arthur Levin day surgery building.

Someone has this place seriously well organised, but it wasn't just the basics that were right:

- yes it appeared clean, you were greeted well, everyone was polite, firiendly, yet professional and 'correct' in their manner - it was more than this. The atmosphere was calm, friendly yet professional, giving off all the right vibes when you are coming in for an operation.

Everybody explained their role, carried it out, smiled and I was thoroughly impressed with the whole 'experience', from the volunteer 'tea-lady', to my surgeon, especially being (lucky) to have never really had to call upon the NHS, at least not for over 20 years since a dreadfull experience in Cheltenham General after a motorbike accident.

I don't know if this separate building has separate funding, or a different manager etc, but all I can say is that appears to be run & staffed very well & was clean!

What could be improved

..On the day, to be honest, nothing!
