Went in on Saturday night 29/06/13 and was told I might have athlete's foot and to get medicine over the counter when I actually had a swollen foot and toe accompained by fever! Anyway the nurse just saw me in less than 5 mins, did not see closely and sent me away! Today (Sunday) went to Merlyn Vaz Walk in Centre as my foot doubled the size and I was looked at properly and was told that I have Cellulitis! The Doctor prescribed antibiotic and hopefully should get better soon! I work full time, pay all my taxes and get poor treatment! If I had waited till Monday, as advised by the nurse would be in a far worse condition , and I have a little son to look after! That nurse is a real shame to the NHS! My advise is to go to Merlyn Vaz Centre where you are seen by real professionals!
