I had this procedure done at this Hospital and was really surprised how nice and re-assuring the Consultant Staff Nurses and other Workers were while I was in the Department . It is the second time I have had this procedure performed and have had both Sedentary and just Throat spray applications and if I am honest I much prefer the latter.. Yes it is a quite horrid procedure but it lasts all of 5 or so minutes and as explained and informed while having it breathe thru your mouth and alls good.. The nursing staff are so friendly(the Sister even held my hand while I had a Biopsy taken)-(no pain -might I add!!) and even though I am 52 they still cared for me like I counted'!! I was taken to a lovely room to chill and recover and was given a lovely pot of tea (on a tray too!!)- and then given all news of what was found and a copy of the findings that the Consultant was forwarding to my GP.. All in all a scary procedure was done in a relaxed and Professional caring manner and I'd like to Thank the doctor and his team for looking after me while I was a Patient..
