My mother felt unwell with a chest infection. As it was the weekend, she called 111.
The first-responder (Damian) arrived very quickly, reassured her suggested she went to hospital and arranged for the ambulance to take her there.
She was extremely impressed by the response she received and the swift response meant that she avoided the very serious illness she had last year when she'd had a similar chest infection.
She wanted me to record her gratitude to Damian and all those involved in the 111 response that day.
"Good response from the 111 service"
