"Not being listened to by Psychiatrist"

About: Southampton West / Cannon House

(as a carer),

My partner has suffered with a personality disorder among other mental health issues. Which have been diagnosed by this team.

Then about 6 months ago we met a new psychiatrist who was very unsympathetic and was not willing to listen to anything we said. On his last appointment I asked a friend to attend just in case I had misread the situation.

The doctor told him that his problems were pseudopsychosis and has discharged him. The doctor clearly hadn't read any of his medical notes and had no interest in wanting to know anything about him. When my friend who has many years experience in dealing with this asked any questions the doctor became very volatile towards him.

I am worried for my partner as he has a history of self harm and attempted suicide. I have sent a letter requesting a second opinion but as yet have not received a reply.
