I recently attend the Surgical assessment unit at HRI and was seen very quickly and the conversation I had with the consultant was very productive he was was trying to get my surgery done as soon as possible. Unfortunately this is where it goes downhill, after a week I have had no contact from the hospital to say when my surgery might take place or to give me any other information as to the length of time I might be waiting due to the nature of my injury and the fact my job is very physical I have been unable to return to work . This is something that to me is very disappointing.

We are sorry to hear that your positive experience went downhill so rapidly! Obviously we do not know the department or circumstances, but would urge you to contact the department involved or the consultant's secretary who should be able to give you an indication of the timescale involved.
