"Having had a liver problem for ..."

About: Addenbrooke's Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Having had a liver problem for some years I am currently checked every year for improvements or worsening of the condition. Clinic 5 is amazingly busy on the Thursday mornings when I attended. Being such a busy clinic makes the wait sometimes unacceptably long.

If you are sent for blood tests following the clinic then the wait is generally VERY long at the phlebotomists department, They often are short on staff and I have been there when only 1 member of staff was on with queues in the corridor and many people saying they'll go to their own GP.

What could be improved

Less appointments to make clinic less busy, more phlebotomists with a larger blood test department.
