"The err once is human to err twice is stupidity"

About: Solihull Hospital

Anything else?

I attended this hospital twice. The personnel were all knowledgeable and skilful. Yet I had an operation performed that I did not understand the ramifications. I was under the impression that I had no other option, yet with hindsight there were. The procedure then developed complications and was promptly back on the operating table to revise the original operation. That second procedure made things worse. It also appears that we did not explore the cause properly. Alternatives were not explored and ended up with two failed operations. I am now registered disabled and have ended up worse than I was before I even started. This follows some very elementary mistakes made in both. This is a great hospital. If you have something which is a specialist are for treatment. Go to a specialist hospital. That way, the ego of a consultant is diluted and not pandered.
