About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

Anything else?

Admitted for a bilateral knee replacement I could not fault my care from being admitted to leaving four days later. I was kept informed every step of the way. Staff were courteous and confident and the consultant visited on a regular basis. I can't thank you all enough. To be pain free after years of suffering has opened up my world again. One observation, which didn't effect me, elderly patients who had to wait for bed pans to be removed because staff were busy elsewhere on what is a physically huge Ward. It isn't a comfortable position to be left in for any length of time I'm sure.

Thank you for your comment, we are pleased that you received such good care on our orthopaedic ward. We also note your comment regarding some of our patients and their discomfort. This will be passed on to our Head of Nursing and Patient Experience for further action.
