I had to accompany a friend recently to A & E and when they were in the cubicle the cleaner started cleaning around the other cubicle and under the bed and as he went past to do this I noticed the water was filthy, I asked was he going to 'clean' the area with dirty water and his reply was that there was soap in the water!! He did some time later change the water, however I felt if it wasnt for the fact that I pointed out the fact the water was filthy this would not have happened, and no-one was supervising or taking responsibility for the cleaning. I didnt notice any hand wash gel and wasnt asked to was our hands- although on a night that didnt appear to be busy! This was my first experience at Watford General and although were lovely I am sure you will note my concerns.
