Admitted on Sunday night, very scary experience especially with some of the levels of violence from patients (security being called numerous times) - the staff shouldn't have to put up with that!! As soon as I entered I went through very quickly - bloods, ecg, test etc... the doctor who examined me - kind, courteous and informative (even though the news wasn't the best!!). He even but the cannualar in the correct hand for the procedure I was about to have. the nurses were lovely , even getting me a drink as I was in shock and making sure I was ok whilst I waited for the ambulance to take me to another hospital for treatment. The staff must be under immense pressure with some patients being unreasonable and violent, but I am thankful and lucky I was treated quickly, effectively and with dignity.
