"Outstanding care and concern in A and E and AMU."

About: Countess Of Chester Hospital

Anything else?

My husband was admitted on Sunday evening @ 7.20pm to A and E, he was experiencing light headiness ,dizziness, some nausea and once put on monitors a very low heart rate. Every member of staff treating my husband explained each procedure carefully giving us confidence about the whole situation. In between times we were very aware that they were also having to deal with other critical cases and their regular attention seeking time wasters. Each and every one of us , whatever the need was shown care and respect. At midnight my husband was admitted to the AMU, again calm and caring nurses continued with his case , explained the medication which was to be administered, offered us a warm drink ! And explained the on going care for that night. The next day in the cath lab the staff were informative and reassuring. On Tuesday he was transferred to Liverpool Heart and Lung hospital for a Coronary stent procedure . At every moment the nursing and medical staff were outstanding in all aspects of our care and treatment and also to every other patient in A and E and the AMU. Thank you all we are immeasurably grateful.
