Since 2011 we've been working proactively across Scotland with health services, third sector organisations and with Government.
In 2013 the Scottish Government publicly announced their endorsement of Care Opinion as an independent, open and transparent way for patients and the public to share their stories and experiences of health services across Scotland.
Now all health boards in Scotland are using Care Opinion to listen to what people and their families have to say, are responding and showing where they are making improvements as a result.
2018/19 facts and figures
- Nearly 3700 stories shared (22% increase on the previous year)
- 74% stories are positive, sharing thanks and appreciation
- 97% stories are responded to
- 77 stories led to changes made or in the planning
We've recently pulled together a summary of activity in Scottish health boards from 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019
Social care too!
But remember Care Opinion isn't just about health! Now people can share their experiences of adult social care services in Scotland too. We looking to work with health and social care partnerships and other key organisations involved in adult social care to raise awareness and encourage use of Care Opinion.
Listen, learn, improve
It's not just current service providers who are learning from the stories shared on Care Opinion, the health and care staff of the future are too.
