A warm welcome to Anne Cooper

I’m really pleased to be able to share that Anne Cooper (yes, the Anne Cooper) has joined our board at Care Opinion as a non-executive director.

Anne is chief nurse at NHS Digital and is well known as an inspiring and fearless thinker, speaker and blogger who, true to the spirit of Yorkshire folk, shares openly (and often courageously) what’s on her mind.

She has famously blogged for us on the topic of Weasel words and no-apology apologies – a post which has now been read almost 10,000 times. And she has been known to tweet occasionally.

Anne lives with T1 diabetes so she knows how healthcare feels as a patient as well as a nurse. Her interests include peer support in diabetes, power and voice in health care, equality, and digital tech in nursing.

She has been a long-time supporter and thoughtful questioner of our work, and made powerful contributions to our 10th birthday report and event when we were Patient Opinion.

So welcome aboard Anne – we’re excited to have you with us and we know we’ll benefit enormously from your experience and wisdom.
