Why Wait?

Update from Bourtreehill Medical Practice

Posted by on

Hello internet world! I'm Bob Faulks the Practice Manager at Bourtreehill in Irvine, Ayrshire. It's 2016 and although I remain a dyed in the wool luddite when it comes to social media, I thought it was time I joined the ranks of the bloggers - if the Chief Executive of NHS Ayrshire and Arran can do it once a fortnight, so can I! Hence I'm here with my first ever "blogette" because the "Patient Opinion" system and patient opinion is important to us. I decided not to wait for the world to come to me, but post something here, hopefully also exposing the lighter side of practice life in future posts, and maybe generating some erudite interaction (keep a dictionary handy when you read!). I'll try to put something in each week - next time I'll tell you a bit more about us. Aaah, I can sense my Booker prize being dusted off right now...

Hi Bob

Glad to see you've taken the plunge! It's not too bad once you get used to it :)

I wonder whether the practice has a twitter account? Do tweet us @patientopinion or @PO_Scotland when you blog and we'll retweet to spread the word.

Well done Robert.

I look forward to reading more about how the work in the practice is developing. Great to see your commitment to person centred care.
