Say "hello" to our new and updated home page animation!

We loved our original animation explaining Care Opinion in two minutes. But, after quite a few years, it was a little dated - the previous example referred to a ward phone for patients and now, of course, we nearly all have our own mobile phones to call family!

We reached out to Rob, who created our first animation, and asked him to redraw it with an updated script. We have two new characters and it has the same hand drawn feel.

This will now be visible on our home page, but you can also see it on vimeo- where you can find the embed code if you would like to use it on your own site.

Thank you so much, Rob! It is very special to us that we were able to update our much loved animation!

If you like our video, you can find out a bit more about Rob below and see how to contact him.

About Rob from Sketchups!

Rob Willcocks is a talented animator who spent most of his career in local government finance as an auditor (it paid the bills!). However, he was interested in training and development and always used lots of pictures/stories to explain often complex or 'boring' subjects to help get the message across, . Having always drawn and painted since the age of 3, he created most of the artwork he needed for himself.

He became self-employed 15 years ago running workshops on project and risk management and again used imagery and games to make the subject less dry. About 12 years ago he was working as a consultant with a software company in North Devon and came across Videoscribe, a wonderful new piece of software that allowed him to produce animated whiteboard explainer videos.

Once he started he never stopped!

Sketchups! was born and he has since produced videos for businesses, public sector organisations (mainly the Police nationally over the last 8 years) and charities around the world. In fact, Care Opinion (Patient Opinion as we were previously known) was one of his first clients!

Having worked in the public sector, Rob believes it is important to help support those that work within it and to put something back into society at an affordable cost. You can see Rob's talent and styles on his show reel and if you would like to find out more about Rob and his animations you can visit his website or call him on 07920060056.

P.S. in his spare time, Rob loves sketching and painting (watercolours, oils and gouache). He is striving for that perfect painting, follow his journey on Instagram @robartuk
