Taking a moment to celebrate the people who make Care Opinion what it is

This week, we brought our whole team together, from across the UK, for two days of connection, reflection and shared learning.

At Care Opinion, our team works in an agile way, with some based in our offices in Sheffield and Stirling, others working remotely and some a mix of both. That’s why bringing everyone together in one place matters so much. It provides us with the opportunity to reflect, build stronger relationships, share ideas and reconnect with the heart of our work – Listening with care.

These two days left me feeling grateful and energised, and I found myself reflecting on what really makes this organisation so special. It’s not just our mission – though it’s a powerful one. It’s not just the platform – though we are proud of the impact it has. What makes Care Opinion truly extraordinary is the people. The dedicated, thoughtful, passionate team behind the scenes who bring our values to life every single day.

So today, I want to take a moment to celebrate our team – the people who make it all happen.

Our Subscriber Support Team, who are the friendly, responsive heart of our work with health and care services. Your patience, clarity, and care in supporting healthcare services, ensures they can make the most out of Care Opinion, and most importantly act on what they hear. They are often the first point of contact for many people, and you represent us with warmth and wisdom every time.

Our Moderation Team, who are the guardians of trust. The care and attention they give every single story, reading between the lines, listening deeply, and ensuring safety and fairness, is something that constantly inspires me. They carry a quiet responsibility with incredible professionalism, humanity, and thoughtfulness.

Our Admin Team, who are the quiet engine room of Care Opinion. You keep the lights on, the calendars ticking, the inboxes moving, and the operations running smoothly,  often without any fanfare. Whether it’s taking telephone calls with heart, organising meetings, handling logistics, or sorting out the many details that others don’t even realise need doing, you are the steady hands that hold so much together. Your calm efficiency and behind the scenes magic makes a huge difference every day.

Our Research & Development Team, the thinkers, tinkerers, and doers. You’re always exploring how we can be better, more impactful, more inclusive and more innovative. Whether it’s developing new features, improving accessibility, or gathering insights from data, you keep us moving forward.

Our Managers and Leaders, who we thank for the steady hands, supportive words and the clear eyes. Your leadership, at every level, creates the environment where our team can thrive, and our mission can flourish.

To everyone across the organisation, thank you for everything you do to keep the wheels turning and the values strong. Every detail you take care of helps us do this work with care, integrity, and heart.

I’ve only just begun my journey as CEO, but I have worked with the team already for over 5 years, and I feel immense gratitude and pride, to work alongside such an inspiring group of people. The way you show up for each other, for the people who share their stories, and for the services who are listening, is nothing short of amazing. I am so excited about what we’ll do together next!
