"My wife’s rehabilitation journey"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Physiotherapy

(as a service user),

My Wife broke her leg in 4 places and fractured her angle which had to be plated and screwed. This all happened about 3 months ago. She is 75 years old. After the appropriate time for healing, she was assigned a physiotherapist from the rehab team at Wishaw General Hospital. Her name was Freda and what a tremendous job she did. My wife has other health issues and sometimes did not feel like doing her exercises. With careful encouragement and coaxing, Freda has managed to get my wife walking again on her own. It was great to watch Freda build her confidence and make her feel very secure. Freda has been a great help to my wife and our family, she is gifted and talented in her skills and professionalism. A great Asset to the NHS.

Hi Jimonini,

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback regarding your wife’s experience with the Wishaw Rehabilitation Team.

Freda is a very valued member of the team who will be delighted to hear how your wife is getting on after her fracture. I will ensure this message is passed directly to Freda and the team.

It is great to hear about the progress your wife has made with walking and confidence. Please accept my best wishes and thank you again for getting in touch.

Kind regards,

Cara
