My mum was taken into hospital with gallbladder problems on ward 208 and got admitted by a lovely nurse called Anna. She offered us so much reassurance and nothing was too much bother. She explained what investigations might be needed and what they involved and made sure mum got pain killers and anti-sickness medication swiftly.
To our great surprise when mum got moved to ward 207 we realised that Anna was a senior staff nurse of that ward and were so grateful to see her again. The whole team on 207 were second to none. The nurses were all so friendly and knowledgeable and made my mums stay so much easier. Mum is now home, minus some gallstones and feeling so much better thanks to all the amazing staff on 207.
You can see, even when they are short staffed how hard they work and made sure everyone got great care. A special thanks however to Anna for the care and attention given to not only mum but our family as well. She went as far as to take a diagram off a wall of a gallbladder, liver and pancreas and gave us all a demonstration on how the biliary system was effected, like mum had, and made it a lot easier to understand. Thank you again, you are all stars.
