About: Antrim Area Hospital / Direct Assessment Unit

(as a service user),

I was referred via my GP to DAU and I had a wonderful experience. The GP had queried a clot in my left leg and wanted to get me seen to rule it out.

I arrived at DAU at 12 mid day and was seen immediately by a lovely nurse Laura. She had my blood pressure checked and bloods sent off immediately I couldn't of got a better nurse.

I was then seen by Dr Damian who was so reassuring and give me peace of mind that they had ruled out a clot and that I could contact them again if the pain doesn't settle in a couple of weeks. DAU is a fantastic unit and a fantastic service.
