Adult Autism Team at Eastwood Care Centre, Clarkston.
It took me ten months to see two autism professionals. I was sent there for an ASD diagnosis, undertook two appointments where I feel I was treated appallingly. They were given a mountain of evidence in regard to my ASD, and this was given on many occasions.
But instead of doing my diagnosis, I felt as though they instead abused me, degraded me, and insulted me about things that were nothing to do with my autism assessment process.
They then closed my case for no reason. In my opinion, they did not do their jobs and did not complete my diagnosis.
In my view, this situation is an absolute disgrace. I was entitled to get a full diagnosis, like any other patient, and I feel they have not performed the duties of their jobs.
Despite many letters, telephone calls and emails asking for my case to be completed, I have not received any response. They refuse to finish my autism diagnosis.
Any patient is entitled and should have the ASD diagnosis completed to the end. I didn’t get that. I feel like they held personal grudges against me and closed my case so they could get rid of me.
That is totally unacceptable. I am even entitled to a second opinion from someone else, though I did not get a first one.
I feel the way I've been treated is an absolute disgrace. Totally disgusting.
