"Terrible lack of care and compassion"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Gastroenterology (Stomach and Gut) General Practices in Grampian

(as a service user),

My dad has been waiting over 12 months for two emergency procedures in relation to his gallbladder. 

The pain is so severe that he is unable to eat or drink and all 

Gastroenterology, Accident and Emergency and his own GP practice offer is pain injections which do not work. My dad has been advised for months and months that he is on a waiting list with no real end in sight. 

My dad is no longer living a fulfilled life, he is merely existing due to these waiting times at NHS Grampian. 

I am shocked and appalled with the state our NHS is in and the utter disregard for a patient's health and wellbeing.

I am truly sorry to hear of your dad's experience and the poor quality of life he is currently living, due to a huge delay in waiting for his procedure.
