"Caring postnatal staff made a real difference to me and my baby"

About: Maternity care / Johnston House

(as a service user),

I would like to provide positive feedback on the exceptional postnatal care and attention I was given in Johnston House by Joanne and Melanie on the night I gave birth to my son via caesarean.

Both of them had a really lovely way with them and throughout the night cared for me and supported both me and my baby. I was trying to breastfeed and express colostrum. They provided excellent support to help me and also an abundance of reassurance and celebrated with me each ml of colostrum I got :-)

They made me feel very safe and cared for my baby too. Before they finished their shift they both came and said goodbye and wished me well.

Just to say a very big thank you, it really did make a difference to my journey of breastfeeding and being a Mum for the second time.
