"The midwives felt like family!"

About: Borders General Hospital / Gynaecology Borders General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

A little late in writing this, but we were in the Labour Ward recently, and then in Ward 16 late in to the night.

From the initial phone call to arriving, the Labour Ward was exceptional. ALL the midwife’s, nurses, doctors, anaesthetists, porters and many more were all beyond amazing. Truly a lovely bunch of people.

Complications arose, so I ended up with an emergency C-section. My partner & myself are so grateful that our little girl arrived in good hands after so many years dealing with miscarriages & infertility.

We can’t thank everyone enough for all the care we received from start to finish. I secretly wanted to stay on the Labour Ward, the midwives felt like family!

Thank you so much Sep1922 for taking the time to feed back to us.

We are delighted that you and your partner had such a positive experience within the unit. Sorry to hear you had some complications, this can be very daunting, especially after everything you have both been through, but so glad to hear you felt you were in good hands!

I will be sure to pass on your kind words to all the staff, they will be delighted!

Hope you are settling in to life as new parents and enjoying your new baby.

Kind Regards

Claire
