"Radiotherapy for prostate cancer"

About: Western General Hospital / Radiotherapy

(as the patient),

I had 20 sessions of radiotherapy on my prostate

5 days a week over a period of 4 weeks  at the Western General hospital in Edinburgh. On every occasion the treatment was on schedule, the radiographers were friendly, professional, competent, caring and compassionate.

The radiotherapy department is large, about 80 members, and members of the team of radiographers who treated me changed every day however the standards were consistent throughout. I can only praise the department and the individual team members. I did not find anything to criticise.

Dear Newhaven Newbie,

Thank you for taking the time to give such lovely feedback on your experience of your radiotherapy treatment and especially the compassionate care you received from the radiographers. The radiographers work hard to provide the best possible service and will really appreciate that you took the time to feedback. I've passed your comments to all the radiographers in the radiotherapy department.

Take Care

Elaine
