"We are eternally grateful"

About: Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre Gartnavel General Hospital / General Surgery (ward 4a) General practices in Greater Glasgow & Clyde Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Urology( Ward 70) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Urology (Ward 11c) Royal Alexandra Hospital / Urology (Ward 28) Western Infirmary/Gartnavel General / Urology

(as a relative),

Treatment was successful and very grateful.

My Father was diagnosed with prostate cancer last December and has asked me to send this on his behalf.

The diagnosis was to say the least a bit of a shock. He had gone to the RAH just for a routine appointment for his hand and the nurse decided to do some blood tests due to his age. This nurse was very busy, run off her feet when Covid was still having a huge impact, however this nurse still went that extra mile and thank goodness she did, as the blood tests showed an anomaly which turned out to be prostate cancer. It was caught very early on and then it was a whirlwind of appointments and treatments. The care that my dad received was outstanding and my dad wanted to acknowledge this and his gratefulness to the NHS and to all the staff who were involved no matter what role they held:

Glasgow Royal Infirmary Consultant.

Dr Brown and all the staff – Urology

Consultant Mr Maitra and staff GRI Ward 69 Urology Diagnostic Centre

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Consultant Mr Dutto and all the staff Urology & Xray department

Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre

Consultant Dr Belikova and all the staff

Gartnaval Ward 4A, Urology all staff

Royal Alexandra Hospital Paisley Physiotherapist Valerie and all staff

Barony Practice Paisley - all staff

His treatments were successful and he is now cancer free and we cannot thank the staff enough and hope that this goes some way to letting those staff know that they make a difference and we are eternally grateful.
