"Treatment in a surgical care ambulatory ward"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / High Dependency Unit

(as a service user),

I attended general surgical assessment unit, ward 4C at Crosshouse hospital in NHS Ayrshire & Arran to have an infected cyst treated.

All the staff were lovely and I was assessed and treated in under two hours. Ben, the doctor told me exactly what would be done and was very honest with me.

Pamela the nurse in charge was compassionate and understanding. She made sure I was comfortable during the procedure.

Afterwards I was given a cuppa and a sandwich. I felt in very safe hands. Thank you NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your lovely feedback. The staff in the Assessment Unit, especially Ben and Pamela, will be delighted to know that you felt so well supported and reassured. This is a lovely example of a team working together to provide person-centred care.

With all best wishes for your ongoing recovery.

Linda
