"My long wait to be diagnosed with a broken hip"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department University Hospital Wishaw / Trauma and Orthopaedics (14- 16)

(as the patient),

Fell a number of years ago, rushed to hospital, I didn't see a doctor, but saw a nurse who after an X-ray fitted full leg splint, and sent me home.

Over the years, huge amount of times going to a&e, found nothing and sent home. Every time, I became less mobile and in chronic pain.

3 weeks ago ambulanced to Wishaw in screaming in pain. One brilliant dr gave me the diagnosis I have been waiting many years for, my right hip was broken.

But now I'm being made to wait until Dec to see a surgeon - that’s another 6 wks. Defeated again.
