I recently had my second baby in Craigavon Area Hospital and an issue was detected during one of my routine appointments. I was referred to the DOU for extra monitoring.
The staff who work within this unit were amazing, taking the time to monitor my baby closely and discuss any concerns we had. They set me up with a monitoring plan that I could complete from home and regular routine appointments which identified my condition worsening and this resulted in having an early emergency C-section.
Having heard horror stories I expected the worst, but our midwife Molly also provided us with exceptional care and the entire Delivery Suite team talked me through every step. Thank you all for taking care of us and getting my son here safely.
