About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department University Hospital Hairmyres / Surgical Receiving Unit (Ward 4) University Hospital Hairmyres / Theatres, Recovery & Anaesthetics

(as a service user),

I arrived at Hairmyers A and E and was dealt with in a respectful timely manner despite the business of the department. My admission and support on ward 4 was also excellent. I was discharged and admitted 2 days later and I was aware that despite A and E being exceptionally busy, again I was dealt with in a timely manner and my pain was controlled. 

Pre and post surgery all teams involved made sure I was comfortable, and the staff on ward 4 were so compassionate and supportive. I can't thank all of the staff at Hairmyers enough for their caring and compassionate attitude which also extends to the porters and the domestic team.

it does sound like you have had a very difficult time, being admitted so soon after discharge. This must have been a worrying time especially attending the emergency department which has been exceptionally busy.
