(as a service user),

I was taken into the Victoria after losing my balance. I was then taken to Ward 42, where I received great care. The nursing staff there thought I was fit enough to be transferred to Letham Ward, Cameron Hospital.

I received a wonderful welcome from the staff. SCN Shirley was very nice, she spoke to me most mornings. I enjoyed sitting in the day room , where I could have my breakfast and watch TV.

The staff are funny and friendly. Nothing was any trouble to them. Letham Ward is very clean and organised. The ward needs a little cheering up with decor. The shower room is not fit for purpose.

Occupational Therapy lady Rebecca was very helpful and kind . 

Lots to do in the day room -  books, puzzles, jigsaws, crafts and chatting. My overall stay here was very good. I would call the staff angels.

I was sorry to hear you had to be admitted to Victoria hospital, followed by a period of rehabilitation at Letham.

Thank you for taking the time to write your comments, it is lovely to get such positive feedback.

I am glad you felt the staff at Letham were so welcoming, it is also lovely to hear the staff were friendly, helpful and in particular SCN Shirley and Occupational Therapist Rebecca. I know it is something the team strive to achieve. I will certainly share your feedback with the whole team. It is good to hear the day room provided an opportunity to socialise with other patients and staff whilst also enjoying the activities available.

I was sorry to hear you felt the decor needed attention and in particular the shower room not fit for purpose. I will certainly look into this further to see what we can do to address these points raised.
