So I was very very anxious and nervous about my second wisdom tooth coming out as I had a traumatic experience with my first one. This is why I was referred to take the second one out at the Gwent in Oral Surgery.
From the moment I walked in I was shaking and crying. But the doctors and nurses were absolutely amazing. They reassured me and talked me through everything. The MAXFAx surgeon that took my tooth out, I think her name was Pippa, she was amazing and so so kind in her words. The assistant nurse who held my shoulder the whole way through to help me get through it mentally, what a diamond she was. I can’t remember her name.
Those two stood out to me the most and I can’t thank them enough for their comfort and the time they took to really try to make me feel comfortable as possible.
As a nurse myself, this really made me feel proud of my profession. Thank you Oral Surgery at the RGH
