"Real person-centred care and humanity"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter was admitted to the Day Surgery Unit to undergo a procedure. Initially there was a little uncertainty if I could stay with her, as she is over 16 yrs old. However, recognising how anxious she was, I was allowed to stay with her.

Both my daughter and I can't commend the entire team highly enough from beginning to end. The nursing staff were fantastic and the theatre staff were outstanding, going above and beyond to make my daughter feel as at ease as possible. She even appreciated their singing!

This to us, showed real person-centred care and humanity. Unfortunately,  we can't recall his name, but a special thank you goes to the anaesthetist, who really was amazing. It was clear the unit was busy, but nothing appeared to be too much trouble

Dear Mrs SFC

Thank you for sharing such lovely feedback, it can be a bit daunting coming into hospital, so it is great to see we were able to make your daughters experience a positive one. I will share your kind words with the team who will appreciate them very much, we wish your daughter well in her recovery.

Best Wishes

Nola and the Day Surgery Team
