"my experience by Donna"

About: Moseley Hall Hospital

Anything else?

When I was told that my Father was being transferred to Mosesley Hall Hospital,I set about reading the reviews,Some of them ,left me feeling a little worried about my Fathers care there,as he is brain damaged and virtrually paralysed, after an accident he had.I arrived at ward 9,and was greeted very warmly by the receptionist. My Father was brought in shortly after that, and his nurses came out to greet him and settle him in his room.Whilst that was going on,I was offered a much needed cup of tea and was aked if I had any questions, and if so,they would be only too pleased to answer them.I went home that evening somewhat reassured.Right from the outset,I knew that I didn't have to be at all concerned, about the care my Father was and is receiving. On more than one occasion,I have arrived at my Fathers room and realised that the nurses were attending to him.Whilst I stood quietly outside of his room,I have heard my Father shouting at the nurses to leave him be,and generally being uncoperative. The only things I ever heard from the nurses, was comforting, reassuring words, and my Father being treated with dignity.I have been invited to meetings with all of my Fathers care team, and once again was encouraged to ask any questions I may have had,or asked if there was anything more they could do for my Father,or indeed myself. From the staff who keep everywhere nice and clean, the nurses, sisters, the physio staff, and everyone involved with my Fathers care,I just cannot put into words how grateful I am to each and everyone of you. Thank you for the tissues to dry my tears, and the cuddles you give at just the right moment.when my Father is transferred away from ward 9,I will miss you all.

Thank you for your moving feedback which has been forwarded to the ward 9 staff team. The team work hard to give support to patients and their families, and I know they will pleased to know that you have found their support to be available whenever you have needed it.
